Garden Plant Labels: How to Keep Track of Your Veggies and Herbs
Share
Every gardener has done it. You plant a row of seeds, push in a tag with the name written in marker, and a few weeks later the writing has faded in the sun or washed off in the rain. Now you've got a bed full of green seedlings and no idea which ones are the coriander and which are the carrots.
Good plant labels fix that. They help you water and feed the right plants, rotate crops properly from season to season, and they make it easy for the rest of the family to help out without pulling up the wrong thing.
The FNQI-3D Garden Plant Labels
Our Garden Plant Labels have the plant name and a matching icon cut right through the stake. There's no ink or paint to fade, so they stay readable season after season.

Which pack do you need?
Herb Pack (7 labels + 5 blanks): Basil, Chives, Cilantro (Coriander), Oregano, Rosemary, Sage and Thyme. Ideal for a herb garden, a kitchen windowsill or a row of pots on the balcony.
Veggie Pack (8 labels + 5 blanks): Beans, Carrot, Cucumber, Lettuce, Peppers, Radish, Spinach and Tomato. Covers the staples of most backyard veggie patches.
Complete Set (15 labels + 5 blanks): every herb and vegetable label in the range. The best value if you grow both, and a great gift for a keen gardener.
Tips for labelling your garden
- Label at planting time. Put the stake in the moment the seeds or seedlings go in. It's easy to forget what went where, even a day later.
- Put labels in the same spot every time. For example, always at the front left of each row or at the base of each pot, so you know exactly where to look.
- Push them in deep enough. Push the stake well into the soil so it stays upright in wind and heavy rain, and doesn't get knocked over by hoses or pets.
- Use the blanks for everything else. A paint pen or permanent marker works well for extra crops, varieties, or the date you planted.
- Use the colours at a glance. The colour coding makes it quick to spot your tomatoes or leafy greens across a big bed.
- Reuse them each season. When a crop is finished, pull the label out, give it a rinse and keep it for next time.
