Our original stackable canisters kept rounds sorted by calibre. The new Tactical Canister keeps them sorted, locked together and riding in your cup holder. Here's what changed, and why.
Why we redesigned it
We wanted canisters that lock together instead of just sitting on top of each other, that can be told apart by calibre at a glance, and that ride securely in the vehicle. So we kept the pocket layouts that already worked and rebuilt everything else around the way you actually carry gear.
Twist-lock stacking
The top of every canister has three locking lugs, and the underside of every base has matching slots. Drop one onto another, twist 30° and a small detent clicks it home, so the stack doesn't work itself loose. You can mix calibres in the same tower: say a .223 on the bottom, .22 LR in the middle and .17 HMR up top.
The base locks onto the top
Those same lugs work with the canister's own base. Unscrew the body, then twist-lock the base tray onto the top of the canister. Your rounds sit upright and ready to grab, up off the ground or the tailgate, and the base can't be put down somewhere and lost.
A screw lid that lines up
The body screws onto the base with a two-start thread that's clocked: when it's done up, the flats on the body line up with the flats on the base, so it looks right every time.
Every round in its own pocket
The base tray has an individual pocket for each round, sized for the calibre: 37 for .17 HMR and .22 Magnum, 45 for .22 LR, 21 for .223, and 10 for 30-30 and .308. Unscrew the body and the rounds stay standing in the tray, ready to grab, instead of tipping out of the lid.
71 mm: built for the cup holder
We held the maximum diameter to 71 mm so the canister drops into standard car and ute cup holders. The taller sizes (.223, 30-30 and .308) also have a recessed strap tunnel. It's cut into the wall, so it doesn't add any width.
