Zero Turn Mower Tow Hitches: Adding a Towing Point to Your Hustler Raptor X or John Deere Z515E
Share
Zero turn mowers are great for cutting big blocks fast, but many come without a way to tow anything. If you've got a yard cart, a small trailer or a spreader to move around the property, adding a rear tow hitch turns your mower into a handy workhorse as well.
FNQI-3D makes purpose-built tow hitches for two popular zero turns in Australia.
Hustler Raptor X 42" tow hitch kit – now V2
The Hustler Raptor X 42" Tow Hitch Kit adds a practical towing point to the 42-inch Raptor X. We've just released a redesigned V2, built around how zero turns actually get driven: hard, tight turns with something on the back.

What's new in V2:
- Full 90° articulation – the drawbar swings flat to either side, so it won't bind or lever on the pin in tight turns
- Stronger redesign – reinforced tongue and pin boss
- Replaceable rubber shock-absorbing inserts cushion starts and stops
- UV-resistant materials for living outdoors in the Queensland sun
Specs and kit:
- Designed for the Hustler Raptor X 42-inch
- 100 mm hole centres
- Includes 2 × M10 x 35 mounting bolts, 4 × M10 flat washers and a 10mm lynch pin
- Rated for light to medium-duty towing up to 100 kg
John Deere Z515E tow hitch
The John Deere Z515E Tow Hitch is a heavy-duty rear hitch design, purpose-built for the Z515E.
Before you order
- Confirm your exact mower model. Each hitch is designed for one mower. A Raptor X hitch is made for the 42-inch model specifically.
- Measure your mounting holes. For the Raptor X kit, check your mower's mounting-hole spacing against the 100 mm hole centres.
- Check your mounting configuration against the product photos.
- Match your load to your mower. Only tow equipment your mower is suited to pull, and follow your mower manufacturer's guidance on towing.
Towing tips for zero turns
- Keep speed down when towing, especially on slopes and turns.
- Even with the V2 hitch's 90° swing, avoid spinning on the spot with a load behind you – the trailer can still jack-knife into the mower.
- Check the hitch, pin and bolts regularly for wear and tightness, and replace the rubber inserts if they're worn.
FAQ
Is the trailer included?
No, just the hitch (and, for the Raptor X kit, the mounting bolts, washers and lynch pin).
What's the difference between the original and V2 Raptor X hitch?
V2 swings a full 90° to either side, has a stronger tongue and pin boss, and uses replaceable rubber inserts. The mounting and hardware are the same.
Will the Raptor X hitch fit other Hustler models?
It's designed for the Raptor X 42-inch. Check mounting holes and configuration carefully against your model before ordering.
Are these genuine Hustler or John Deere parts?
No. They're aftermarket hitches designed and made in Australia by FNQI-3D.
