FITTING PROCEDURE

Tools Required

• Brass heat insert iron or soldering iron

Installation

Step 1

Install the 4 brass M3 heat-set inserts into the vacant mounting holes located in the rear of your Lowrance HDS 9 Live.

Step 2

Install the 4 stainless steel washers onto the supplied mounting bolts.

Step 3

Align the sunshade mounting holes with the installed brass inserts and secure using the supplied stainless steel bolts.

Do not over-tighten.

IMPORTANT NOTES

A spring washer or thread-locking fluid may be used if desired.

However, extensive real-world testing has shown that neither is typically required due to the engineered resistance created by the sunshade mounting system, which helps maintain bolt retention during normal operation.
